Human performance and aging project
Heart Forward aims to provide evidence-based guidance to optimize and enhance cardiovascular performance while mitigating the effects of aging. Guidance is informed by on-going investigations and the body of literature pertinent to cardiovascular performance and aging. Recommendations are tailored based on client-specific goals and are informed by the wealth of literature in the cardiovascular and medical sciences. Services are available to all-comers seeking performance optimization and healthful longevity.
#Performance optimization
We offer a comprehensive structural evaluation of the heart and and provide recommendations to optimize performance capacity of the cardiovascular system. This approach allows for the identification and remediation of risk-factors that contribute to the development of heart disease. And, for those with previously establish heart-disease, we can provide recommendations to optimize performance of the cardiovascular system to maximize functional lifespan.
#Aging
Aging effects all organ systems differently. Our evaluation focuses on the heart and cardiovascular system. Client-specific recommendations are structured to slow and/or reverse aging to fashion a long and healthful lifespan.
#Weight Loss
Weight-gain adversely effects the cardiovascular system. We offer review of lifestyle approaches to combat weight-gain, promote weight-loss, and therapeutic approaches to achieve sustained weight-loss (ie: Ozempic, Mounjaro).
#Athletes
Our program offers services specific to athletes, including, exercise-capacity testing (peak VO2) and performance optimization strategies. We offer cardiac structural and hemodynamic assessments to identify factors that may restrict maximal performance and/or result in catastrophic events during exercise.
